Be prolific, I hear
Write what is up for you
Write the Life, she whispers
Unbridle what is true

Be prolific like the persimmon
Spotted from the road
Drop seeds everywhere
Who can say when they’ll grow

Roots are like elephants
Or maybe like their trunks
Sucking water from the earth
In streams and not big hunks

Suckle and sip that nutrient
Be like the elephant, thirsty
Draw your waters sweetly
And through the knows
Channel deeply

Sure the path can seem steep
Yet you’ve never feared a leap
Or if you have, you’ve checked it twice
Stepped up to the line
Toed it, gotten to know it

Then, like ‘phants in the Sahara
Retreated again back to the water
And, once fulfilled and resupplied,
Charged ahead for another try

Always, nearly

Begged and by this question led:
What would I do instead?
